Temporary pavilion on top of Zurich Opera House extension

The City of Zurich has granted a building permit for a temporary building to be erected on the roof of the existing extension to the Opera House. The curved silhouette of the temporary wooden pavilion responds to the dome of the historic main building and is intended to blend with the cityscape in a way that is both unobtrusive and representative. Planned start of construction is in July and the work is to be completed by the end of 2024.
