The facade installation of the Bremen ‘Bundeswehrhochhaus’ is in progress. All elements with a characteristic grid of vertical and horizontal pilaster strips are delivered prefabricated. The 15-storey former administration building of the German Armed Forces is being converted into a residential tower block and transformed into a new urban ensemble consisting of a connecting plinth with communal and public functions, a compact, point-like building and a long, low-rise block, based on the first place competition project by EM2N. A mix of different typologies with a total of 162 apartments and eight commercial spaces is to be built on Kaufmannsmühlenkamp until 2026.
